Obituary for Steven Douglas Ford

Ford, Steven Douglas

It is with great sadness that the family of Steven Ford announces his unexpected passing on January 19th, 2019. Born September 25, 1975 and raised in Tampa, FL, Steven passed away in the early morning battling an unassuming illness. Though his life was cut short, Steven lived his life with his whole heart and never gave up even when the odds would have made others fold. Throughout Steven’s life he was loved by many, and always loved others back unconditionally.

Being a kid at heart and prior to the worsening of his condition, Steven immensely enjoyed going to Disney World and other theme parks. He was often there! Beyond Disney, he loved and had a passion for many things -notably Star Wars, comics, and all sports! However, after playing football in high school, football became the sport he was most passionate about. He seemed to be a walking encyclopedia when it came to that game and he loved every aspect it!

Steven is preceded in death by brother James R. Johnson, uncle Steven Neal, and grandmother Dorothy Nelson.

Steven will be lovingly survived by; mother Cynthia Jines, sister Nicole Zorn and her husband Chris Zorn, brother Aaron Jines and wife Amber Jines, sister Abigail Jines, sister Lydia Jines and partner Steven Mackay, nephews Tyler Zorn and Dominik Zorn, aunt Nancy Register, aunt Gloria Flack and husband Billy Flack Jr, aunt Charlotte Neal, aunt Tracy Neal, as well as the many cousins, large extended family, and numerous friends whom Steven considered family.

A Celebration of his life will be held February 2, 11am-1pm at Brandon Cremation and Funeral Services.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Kidney Foundation in Steven’s name.
