Renee Stone Schiele was born on May 28, 1943 to Tracy Hugh Stone and Anne Rae Hendry in Clewiston, Florida. At 18, Renee began nursing school in Orlando, Florida earning her license as a registered nurse. It was while attending nursing school that Renee met Frank Louis Schiele, Jr., while on a blind date. They were married on April 4, 1963. Frank and Renee raised three children and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. During her career, Renee worked as an ER, medical/surgical, charge nurse, and manager over an home health agency. She was named nurse of the year, best nurse in the Southeast and best nurse in the East. Renee was a dedicated wife, as well as an uncompromising mother of three, always encouraging her children to accomplish anything they wanted to. She was a loving and attentive grandmother. She played, taught, consoled and loved. She was a master gardener, long before she earned the official designation as Master Gardener from the University of Florida. She loved a plant, a tree, a flower, a good story, her friends, her dogs, her family and her life. She was known to speak her mind and was truly a force of nature. If you were fortunate enough to benefit from her love, you knew she would always have your back and would be your lifelong cheerleader. On May 23, 2019, Renee passed unexpectedly while asleep. Renee was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Louis Schiele, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Renee and her husband, Donovan Roper, her daughter Toni Anne and her husband Erik Peterson, her son, Frank Louis Schiele, III, grandsons, Nathan Peterson and Zachary Roper, granddaughter, Kelley Roper, and puppies, Crissy and Gracie. Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in Seffner, Florida on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10 am.
