Ollis Bajon Hughes, 74, of Riverview, passed away January 11, 2019
Dad was an amazing wood carver and loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a great brother and was always there when you needed him. He had a lot of friends and was loved by all.He loved playing Madden with his grandson Brandon on a weekly basis.
Ollis is survived by his two sons Scott and Adam, his brother Buddy, his sister Jeanie, his grandson Brandon, and his daughter in law Carol.
Ollis was preceded by his mother Velma and his father Rufus.
Like a brother, he was a caring, and gentle person. He taught so many people how to live a good life simply by the way he lived. Funny, talented, gentle, and generous…he will always be with us.
Ollis was a special person, I enjoyed spending time with him, and I loved his wood carvings, he was absolutely amazing, very talented. Ollis was a very dear friend, and he will be very much missed by myself and anyone else who considered him friend.

Ollis was as kind a man as you could ever meet. He will be missed very much.
Ollis was an amazing individual. He was kind and loving and he took my family as part of his own. We will miss you greatly but remain in my heart forever! I called you Dad and I meant it from my heart -you treated me like your own daughter and for that you have a special place in my heart. Be at peace Dad and know that I loved you deeply! Yours Annie
I have fond memories of going fishing with when Adam and I were kids.
Ollis has been a wonderful influence on my life. As a child I looked up to him like a father. I wish I had known him better as an adult. He was a kind, caring man who loved his family and friends. His light will continue to shine as he watches over those he loved so dearly in this life. Until we meet again, farewell Daddy Ollis. I love you.
He will be missed by us all and he was loved by all rest in peace.
