Obituary for Lawrence Paul Kolacsky

77 of Brandon FL passed away peacefully at home to be with our Lord April 6, 2017 following a short bout with brain cancer. Larry was born in Canton OH March 14, 1940, moving to Florida in 1980. He was a Golden Glove champion, attended Canton South High School, and served in the Army Special Services in Germany. Larry was the oldest nephew of 17 Aunts and Uncles of the Kolacsky and Antenucci families. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Larry loved to cook and travel in his motor home from the East to the West Coast. Everyone who came in contact with him loved him for his light heartedness, compassion for people, and playful humor.

Larry was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, the Masonic order of Masons, the Eagles, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks. He was a crane operator at Republic Steel, a brakeman at Diebold, a salesman for Cobra Cues and a wonderful caregiver to both his mother and mother-in-law.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Fisher), of 55 years, his daughters, Kristine (Todd) Whitley and Karen Licari, son, Michael (Iris) Kolacsky, grandchildren, Joshua (Rebecca) Kolacsky, Jason Kolacsky, Jessica (Mark) Sampson, great granddaughter, Lilly Kolacsky, sisters, Paula (Ronald) Udeck and Barbara Paolucci, uncles, Tom Antenucci and Paul (Joanne) Antenucci plus over 200 cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Alice (Antenucci) Kolacsky, and brothers, Joseph Kolacsky and Paul Kolacsky.

Services will be at Bushnell Military Cemetery on April 14, 2017 at 10 am. A private celebration of life will be held in Orlando FL at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice of Florida.

Bonnie and family,
We are so sad about Larry’s passing. Though we didn’t’ get to see him much, you all have been in our prayers. I know there is a lot of commotion in Heaven as all our loved ones are playing cards or bingo and enjoying another angel.

Larry, you have made this world such a brigher happier place to live simply by being YOU! I have always enjoyed your huge smile and playful personality! You have lived and exceeded what it truly is to appreciate life, to have so much love for others and have such a kind and caring heart!!! You must be looking down from heaven smiling on all the blessings and love surrounding you and the legacy you have so beautifully created!!Heaven has truly gained a precious angel! We love you Larry!
