Joseph Maurice Dubord was born in Quebec, Canada in 1933 to Philippe & Adrienne. He has two sisters (Margaret & Laureate) and a brother (Philippe). He enlisted in the Canadian Military (22nd Royal Regiment) at the age of 16 years old. He was sent to fight in the Korean War. In 1955 he enlisted in the U.S. Army to continue his military career. In 1958 he was deployed to Lebanon as part of United Nations peace keeping troops. While in Lebanon he met his future wife, Leila. They later married in Augsburg, Germany. He and Leila had four children; Philippe, Pierre, Michelle and Gerard. He was deployed to the Vietnam war twice during this conflict. For his bravery he received the Bronze Medal/Valor and others. He was a Master Paratrooper (Airborne) and Ranger most of his career. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1978 where they settled in Seffner, Florida. He has six loving grandchildren; Danielle, Josh, Brian, Taylor, Jordan and Bella. He loved his dogs, Lou & Wolfy. He now joins his wife, mother, sister and father in heaven. “Old Soldiers Never Die They Just Fade Away”. Rest in heaven 🙏 After my mom passed away in 2016 Maurice went down hill he was very sad that my mom left him, he would call me telling me he missed Mommy it seems it wanted to go but Lou his pup he loved sooo much I believe he held on as long as he could But it was his time to go. A brave warrior he was! Rest Easy Silver Fox and fly high ❤️❤️❤️
