Guimond Jocelyn Cloutier, Sr., 69, (known to most as Pop, or Frenchy) joined his cherished wife Betty, and his beloved son David in Heaven, on February 5, 2018. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be loved and missed by all who are saddened by his loss.
Pop worked in the construction/carpentry field his entire life. He could use his hands and mind to create just about anything. He was a kind man, and was always there if someone needed something. He grew up in Quebec, Canada, and had a love for Maple Syrup, Steak and Cheese grinders. He raised his family in Manchester, New Hampshire, and in the late 80’s moved them to Florida to be around family. He was a great Ice Hockey player, and was a huge fan of the NHL.
Pop spent his retirement years still taking care of family, building stuff on his son’s property, making a home with his son, and grandchildren in Plant City. He was a happy man. He worked hard all his life, and was finally able to relax, and work at his own pace during retirement. Even after falling ill he still continued to build stuff. He was a wonderful example for us all.
He is survived by his son, Guimond J. Cloutier, Jr.; daughter, Christina R. Batchelor; grandchildren, Brandon Cloutier, Stephanie Cloutier, Jocelyne Cloutier, Emily Batchelor, Gracie Batchelor, Angelina Cloutier, and Tyler Cloutier.
We lost a great person, Heaven gained a sweet, kind, and loving Angel. RIP Pop.
