Glen “Lee” Henness Jr., 66, of Plant City passed away unexpectedly at home on July 16, 2019. Lee was a graduate of Brandon High School and Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He was an avid sports enthusiast throughout his life both on and off the field including; a member of Brandon High School Wrestling Team and Football Team (including State Finals in the late 1960’s); supporter of youth sports as a football and baseball coach for the Brandon Broncos, Brandon Steelers and South Brandon Little League; and most recently his grandsons’ biggest fan and supporter. He was a master tradesman as a block/brick mason who took great pride in his work with examples abounding throughout the local area. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen L. Henness Sr. and Gladys “Natalie” Henness. He is survived by his daughter, Steffanie Henness Workman; grandsons, Joshua and Conner Workman; siblings, Vicki Hunt, Merry Henness, Cindy Henness (Brett) and Brad Henness (Vanessa); and nieces and nephews, Daphne Hunt, Ward Hunt, Nicole Henness, Heather Henness and Monique Mechanic. A Celebration of Life is planned and will be held at a later date.
