Giddens,Geneva Lynch, 89, of Brandon, FL, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2018. Geneva was born in Nashville, Georgia on November 2, 1928 to Henry and Nancy M. Lynch. She was formerly a resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Geneva was a kind, selfless, wife, mother, friend and grandmother. She brought happiness to all who knew her. Geneva’s  favorite past-time was cooking and entertaining. She loved collecting cookbooks and spending time with friends and family. Geneva had a large collection of cookbooks from all over the world. She was cherished by her family and she will be missed everyday of our lives. Geneva was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Cecil D. Giddens Sr., her brother James E. Lynch, Dorene Williams (daughter) grandson, Miles Robertson, grand-daughter, Sarah Williams, daughter in law, Vivian Giddens.   Geneva is survived by her brother, Harold Lynch, son, Col. (Retired) Cecil Dennis Giddens Jr.; Darlene Beard (daughter) David Beard (spouse of Darlene) Paul Williams (Spouse of late Dorene Williams); Grandchildren; Holly Diane Sherer, Andy Sherer (spouse of Holly), Matthew Giddens, Crystal Giddens (spouse of Matthew) Johnathan Giddens , Dana Oweis, Eddie Oweis ( spouse of Dana); Great Grandchildren, Caleb Giddens, Atlas Sherer.

Graveside service will be held on March 9th at 2:30 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, Florida. Family and friends will gather at Visitor Center at 2 p.m. for processional to 402, Site 737. Services will be officiated by Pastor Randy Alonso, a Baptist Minister in Bushnell, FL. The family requests that you donate to your favorite charity in our mother’s honor in lieu of flowers.
