Michael Patrias, Owner, Licensed Director, Embalmer- founder of Brandon Cremation & Funeral Services. Michael comes from a family of funeral care providers in Texas. Originally from Michigan, he got his start in the industry working for his Uncle after graduating from Commonwealth College in Houston, TX. He later moved his family to Utah, and eventually settled here in the Bay Area with his 3 children. Michael is also involved with his community. He is a member of Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel, and is a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio, FL, where he attends with his family.
Kathryn Cosper, Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer- Lead Director, Kathryn graduated from St Petersburg College in 2001 with a degree in funeral sciences, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in a similar field. She is originally from Michigan, where she left to serve in the US Army, and settled in the Bay Area afterwards. She is the mother of 2 children, Nicholas (23) and Reagan (21), of whom she is insanely proud. She has a very corny sense of humor, she loves to collect Egyptian art, and she loves metal and alternative rock music. Kathryn is a huge fan of flea markets, the color pink, and 80s movies. Although her training in the funeral industry is extensive, she loves the face to face interaction with her families best. She’s professional, compassionate, and a good listener.
Pat Brown, Funeral Director Assistant- Pat is very knowledgeable in the funeral industry, having been in the business since 2000. She lives in the Valrico area with her husband and 3 dogs. Pat has 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys books on audio, and spending time with her family. Her daughter, Jennifer Brown, is our office manager.
Jennifer Brown, Office Manager– Jennifer is the first voice our families hear when they call on us, and the first person our families see when we welcome them to our funeral home. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. Jennifer takes great measures to ensure that our families have a seamless experience with our funeral home, specializing in financial matters. She’s very conscientious, knowing every detail is important. She is part of our funeral home family, but she also has one of her own. She is the proud mother of a very handsome 10 year old son, Dominic.
Reagan Cosper, Administrative Assistant- Reagan is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing at USF Tampa Campus. She works for our funeral home on a part time basis. She interned for us over the summer of 2018 and 2019, and did a phenomenal job. She plans to ultimately live and work in Boston. She loves doing makeup, spending time with friends and family (our director, Kathryn, is her proud Mom) and on occasion, cooking, but her true passion is art. Reagan is wonderful with our families, she’s professional, but approachable and compassionate, and she’s a very perfect fit to our funeral home staff.
